Radcliffe appealed his conviction, asserting that although he initially waived his Miranda rights when apprised of them by the first officer that interrogated him, the confession should nonetheless have been suppressed insofar as the second officer that interrogated him and that recorded the confession subsequently continued interrogating him after he requested an attorney. The superior court subsequently terminated Salas’s parental rights, finding that A.B.’s permanent placement with her cousin would be in her best interest. Salas appealed the superior court’s decision, asserting that he had been denied due process by the superior court’s failure to find that he is an unfit parent as required by Washington Revised Code §13.34.180(1).
